A Neurologic Clinical Specialist is a PT who has undergone extensive training in neurologic practice beyond their Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
- A PT can pursue this training in either a post-doctoral residency program or by diving into a minimum of 2,000 hours of neurologic clinical practice for a minimum of 2 years.
- PTs then elect to sit for the credentialing exam to become a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist, which is valid for 10 years as long as they pursue ongoing continuing education in the field.
- Neurologic Clinical Specialists have to keep current with research and treatment strategies to best help people with neurologic conditions succeed.
Seeing an NCS for your neurologic concerns ensures that you have the right care when you need it most to help you live your best possible life.
Great question—yes!
We are first and foremost physical therapists. We have the same foundational training as any other PT, which is Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT).
We can treat clients with pain, injuries, and musculoskeletal concerns; however, we are likely to refer you to our PT colleagues who specialize in treating these conditions so that you have the best possible support.
If you’re still not sure who may be the best provider for you, consultations are free!
Resilience does not contract with insurance companies because we don’t want insurance to dictate the care you receive.
With most private (non-Medicare) insurances, you may request a super-bill to submit to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
Check with your health insurance provider to determine amount of reimbursement.
Resilience does not have a relationship with Medicare*
If you would like to use your Medicare benefits for Physical Therapy, Resilience therapists unfortunately cannot treat you, but will happily refer you to a clinician who accepts Medicare. You can, however, be seen for wellness services, if this aligns with your goals and needs.
*We can only accept Medicare beneficiaries as PT clients when they do not want Medicare billed for any PT services. This request to not involve Medicare in payment must be made by the patient, of their own free will, and documented before the start of care. If you are a beneficiary who would like to come to Resilience for your PT, you will be asked to acknowledge your decision to exclude Medicare from the transaction in writing.
We charge a single hourly rate of $115 per hour, for all services.
Payment is due at the time of service.
